 | 2025 Year In Review The year 2025 really brought about some really terrific railroad related happenings! Here are a few: The East Broad Top Railroad now has an operating steam locomotive for excursions, and continues the amazing revival, with clearing and trackwork heading south on the march to Saltillo! The Saltillo Station is being rebuilt, and grant money has been obtained for repairing the two bridges on this section of the line as well. Reading & Northern carries on expansion of their passenger train excursions, including steam locomotive 2102 doing some great rambles on R&N trackage. Norfolk Southern added two more locomotives to their awesome Heritage fleet, while repainting others. C&O Locomotive 614 was moved to the Strasburg Railroad shops for a complete restoration and eventual return to service! The Harrisburg, PA area remains a busy rail hub and a "Hot Spot" for train watching!!
