A Slice of History ~ Subway Cafe, Harrisburg PA

When visiting Central PA, it's a must to try a slice of history at Subway Cafe . Locals love their hand-thrown pizza, featuring a famous super-skinny crust, fresh toppings, plenty of cheese and topped (Yes, Topped!) with a layer of homemade sauce. It is not your typical pizza pie!!! While eating their pizza, get a 32 ounce fishbowl of beer to wash it down!! Unique is an understatement for the Subway Cafe!!
Donato, Sr. and Liana Giusti opened the Subway Cafe in July of 1948. Now, thousands have stopped at the two-story brick building with its tall neon sign for the old-world pizzas.
