The staff welcomed us and made us feel truly at home. We had complete access to the spacious decks overlooking the Susquehanna River, use of grills, and other amenities that we would never find in a hotel. The owner is also very knowledgeable about the region and gave us many helpful insights into local history and activities. We all were sad to leave but plan to return next year! ![]() | Flinchy's Restaurant, Camp Hill PA One of the many great things to do in Central PA is EAT!!!! Locals rave about Flinchy's, "Home of the Hot Rock"! Flinchy's is really four venues in one!! Outside is a "Train Wreck Deck" with a 360 bar, inside is a New York style bar and dining room. Wednesday-Saturday, the walls retract into a club scene with live music. Their Hot Rock experience is definitely a unique way to dine. Meals are served with a 500-degree volcanic stone, so you cook your steak and seafood at the table, to your liking. They are also known for their chili, a winner of local cook offs year after year. The Train Wreck Deck is appropriately named, as railfans can watch trains on the Lurgen branch as they enjoy their meals. Another unique place in Central PA is The Bridgeview Bed & Breakfast. We are located on the banks of the Susquehanna River overlooking northern Harrisburg, the Blue Mountains and the famous Rockville Bridge. At the Bridgeview you are guaranteed a clean, comfortable room with a private bath, WiFi, individual A/C, and a delicious breakfast to start your day off right! Much like Flinchy's, you can sit on our deck and watch trains cross the Rockville Bridge going or coming into Enola yards. Bridgeview is a Railfan paradise!
